Travelling by a Flying Peach

Have you ever dreamed of a life eating delicious peach every day? Well that could happen in this book, “James and The Giant Peach”. I read this book when I was in 8th grade and it was very interesting so I would like to introduce this book. It’s written by Roald Dahl and it was also made as a movie so it is very famous. If you haven’t read it yet, you should read it right now.

It’s basically a story about a boy called James and the adventure he goes through. In the book, James finds a giant peach growing in his aunt’s garden. James was teased and treated in cruel way by his aunts. His parents have died so it was inevitable. He wanted to escape from this life so he went inside to hide. But in there he meets a group of insects in human sizes. They all welcomed James and became friends. After the discussion, they plan to travel around the world. So the adventure begins. They travel using the giant peach and starts rolling around the city. Of Corse the directions of the peach can’t be controlled, so they face lots of troubles but by helping each other and cooperating they managed to solve them. There are a spider, a grasshopper, a ladybug and all kinds of insects in it so people who like them can also enjoy this book.  At the end of this book unexpected event happens but you should read to find out.

I recommend this book to everyone because it is written in simple words and very funny. It is also not long so it wouldn’t get boring. The level is easy but people in any ages can read this book and I’m sure everyone can enjoy. This book teaches us how important natures are and how interesting they are. People who like Roald Dahl must read this because this is one of his best books.
